Bure Valley Public Footpaths

The Trust fully supports and promotes all the public footpaths that run alongside the Aylsham Navigation.

These footpaths are officially under the care of Norfolk County Council and Broadland District Council.

The condition of the footpaths are being continually monitored by BNCT members who regularly walk along them.

Any problems found are brought to the attention of the the two Councils mentioned above. Any works required are noted and any timescale estimates are checked regarding completion.

Two New Circular Walks from Norfolk County Council

The links to the two maps below show a recent promotion by Norfolk County Council's Cycling and Walking Team.

This project is funded by the Greater Norwich Growth Board through the Infrastructure Investment Fund.

It entails the waymarking of five new circular walks and the creation of promotional materials for the walks.

These walks will all be starting from the Bure Valley Path, a 9 mile linear trail between Aylsham and Hoveton.

The first map is of circular footpaths around Hoveton, Belaugh and Coltishall.

The second map is of footpaths around Buxton, Oxnead and Brampton.

BNCT members Roy and Sue Wheeler are regular footpath walkers and helpfully feedback to the BNCT committee any

irregularities they come across.

Here is their year 2021 report submitted to the BNCT (email) AGM.
